Hillsboro FFA participates at state fair

At the Ohio State Fair this year a few members from the Hillsboro FFA Chapter exhibited parts of their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects.

Emma Parry and Meredith Oglesby both exhibited feeder calves and Hillary Hamilton exhibited market steers. Parry had a second place feeder calf and Hamilton had a first and second place with her two market steers and placed fifth in showmanship. Oglesby also exhibited market lambs.

Brittany Rhoads’ team placed fourth in the Avian Bowl. Rhoads also placed seventh in the 15-year-old Poultry Skillathon.

Journey Abbott placed third with her horse in working hunter over fences.

Kenzie Lowell qualified in Western and English showmanship with her horse.

Lana Grover exhibited market barrows and placed first in Swine Skillathon in the 13-year-old age division.
