Four frosty visitors have taken up residence in the 100 block of West Main Street in Hillsboro.

It started Wednesday night with a snowman that Wild Mane Salon employees built atop the snow that city street employees have piled in the middle of the street.

“TwentyFour Exchange put a hat on the original one and from there it’s just exploded between the three businesses because there’s nothing else to do,” Chrstine Kerley owner of The Kraft Shak, said Thursday.

By early Thursday afternoon three more snowmen had appeared, including one next to a makeshift sign that reads “stay cool.”

“We started it last night. We were bored and decided to decorate the town,” Wild Mane Salon employee Danielle Skinner joked.

“It just kind of bloomed from there,” fellow employee Carolyn Osborne added.

Later Thursday afternoon employees from Domino’s Pizza had placed a pizza box next to one of the snowmen.

“We trying to brighten up the town a bit,” Skinner said.
