Chillicothe Unioto and Frankfort Adena visited the host McClain Tigers for a tri match. The visiting schools took to the mat first with Unioto showing their power by outlasting the Warriors 36-24. This would prove to be the closest match of the evening. The Tigers entered the night with a team record of 2-3 and were seeking to get on the winning track against their SVC opponents. The Shermans found the going a little tougher in their second match; MHS soundly defeated UHS 60-21. The final match of the evening proved to be another sound victory for the home crowd. The Tigers ran away with this one 66-12. With this sweep on the night, the Tigers find themselves as a winning team now, sitting at 4-3 on the season.

Individually, Jason Flowers (138/145) again led the team by going 3-0 on the night. Several Tigers went 2-0 on the night: Kylee Stroud (106), Bryce Hatton (170), Gable Smith (195), Lucas Unger (220), and Dylan Trefz (285). Conner Moriarity (113) was 2-1. Charlie Davis (126), Kalab Smith (132), Dillon Faulconer (152), Ethan Paul (160), and Kevin Willis (182) all split even on the night at 1-1. Every Tiger that stepped on the mat came away with at least an even record on the night. That’s a good night. Milestone achievements: Faulconer received his first career victory, and Gable Smith eclipsed the 25 career win mark, he currently has 26.

Up next for the Tigers is the Troy Christian Holiday Invitational on Saturday, 12/7. The tournament will boast several individual state champions, including the host team being the division three team champions from last year.
