Lady Mustangs win easy on road

Defeat Fairfield Lady Lions 66-33

The Lynchburg-Clay girls basketball team traveled to Southern Hills Athletic Conference and Highland County opponent Fairfield on Thursday night and came away with a 66-33 vicotry.


The Lady Mustangs were able to get and keep a lead for the entirety of the game. The only quarter Fairfield was able to outscore the Lady Mustangs was the third quarter, but only by one point.


Heather Cox led all scores with 17, while Maddy Creighton and Hannah Binkley led Lynchburg-Clay with 13 a piece.


The Lady Mustangs will take on Peebles on Saturday in Lynchburg’s all day event where both javee and varsity, boys and girls will be playing starting at 3:30 with the JV girls, followed by the JV boys.


Fairfield will be playing again Monday when the host the Lady ‘Cats of Whiteoak.
