Mustangs overcome slow start to blow past Whiteoak

Wildcats only manage two points in second quarter

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs increased their record on the road to 5-0 Friday night by defeating Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponent the Whiteoak Wildcats 57-27.


Devin Pierson led all scores with 20 points with Ryan Inman close behind with 18.


Tyler Williams had 14 in the game to lead his team, 12 of them coming in the second half.


Lynchburg-Clay is back in action tomorrow night when they host the Indians of Peebles and Whiteoak won’t be back on the court until next Friday when they hit the road and travel to Eastern Brown.
