The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Sept. 16

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Kaleb Andrew Osborne, 25, of New Vienna, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Edward King Canady Sr., 37, of Portsmouth, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

David Long, 28, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Jessica Willett, 37, of Bainbridge, was cited for improper backing.

ACCIDENT

At 8:37 p.m. the police department responded to North High Street near Harry Sauner Road for a report of a motorcycle accident. Mary B. Aleshire, of Xenia, was attempting to make a left turn into the Speedway parking lot from North High Street on her motorcycle when she slid out of control on the wet roadway, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 17

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Nathan W Lydick, 41, of Columbus, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments.

Stephanie L. Childs, 37, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments.

Cynthia J. Bray, 55, of Lynchburg, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant. Shelby Taylor, 25, of West Union, was issued a citation for assured clear distance.

ACCIDENT

At 2:04 p.m. the police department responded to a two-car crash at North High Street and West Main Street. John Rodgers of Greenfield was backing out of a parking space, turned too sharp while backing out and struck the left rear of a parked vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries reported.

Sept. 18

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Courtney Runyon, 20, of Hillsboro, was arrested for underage consumption.

INCIDENTS

At 10:28 a.m. the police department responded to the 700 block of North West Street for a report of a window being broken out of a vehicle.

At 3:38 p.m. the police department responded to the 300 block of South High Street and took a report for theft. At 4:20 p.m. the department received a call back advising the items had been returned.

ACCIDENT

At 12:49 p.m. the police department responded to a two-car crash on Northview Drive. Keitrina Faul of Seaman was attempting to turn out of the parking lot of Walgreens onto Northview Drive when she failed to see a vehicle being driven by Robert Everson of Hillsboro. Everson was eastbound on Northview Drive when Faul pulled her vehicle into the path of Everson’s vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Faul was issued a citation for failure to yield when entering the roadway from a private property.
