Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 24

ACCIDENT

At 4:45 p.m. thew police department responded to a crash in the 100 block of East Walnut Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Trevor Tiemeyer, 21, of Batavia, operating a 2016 Toyota Sedan, drove around a construction barricade that was in place for wet concrete. Tiemeyer was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Brittany Nicole Smith, 36, of South Salem, arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

James Lewis Quinn, 27, of Waverly, arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Oct. 25

ACCIDENT

The police department responded to a two-car collision in the intersection of West Main and Elm streets. Lisa Cline, 27, of Hillsboro, failed to noticed that her traffic light was red and proceeded through the traffic light. Brian Wilson, 37, of Hillsboro, was on West Main Street. He entered the intersection on a green light and Cline’s vehicle ran into Wilson’s vehicle. Cline’s vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A 5-year-old passenger in Cline’s vehicle was transported to Highland District Hospital. Cline was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
