The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

March 31

ACCIDENT

At 3:46 p.m., the police department responded to a crash in the 300 block of South High Street. Upon officer arrival, it was found that Tyler Goodpastor, 20, of Wilmington, operating a 2007 Chevrolet sedan, was making a right turn onto from the South High Street northbound lane from a private drive. Goodpastor advised their foot slipped off of the brake pedal casing the vehicle to go forward and strike a 2006 Honda SUV operated by Ann D. Schlater, 57, of Hillsboro, who was stationary in stopped traffic.

April 1

ACCIDENT

At 6:22 a.m., the police department responded to a deer crash in the 900 block of West Main Street. Upon officer arrival, it was found that Del Lee Carroll Jr., 36. of Lynchburg. operating a 2010 Chevrolet SUV. had struck a deer.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Kristy Brock, 32, of Martinsville, was cited for possession of marijuana.

Tyler Lee Goodpastor, 20, of Wilmington, was cited for improper starting.

Lisa Slone, 43, of Monroe, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Mechell A. Frost35, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to obey atraffic control device.

38-year-old Neal Noble McKenzie of Wilmington- Arrested on outstanding bench warrant.
