The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:
At 2:20 p.m. officers from the police department responded to an address in the 500 block of East Walnut Street for a verbal domestic dispute. While on the scene, Josh Evans, 28, acted as though he was going to punch another family member. Officers attempted to take Evans into custody; however, Evans resisted arrest for several minutes. Evans was later placed into handcuffs. He is charged with misdemeanor menacing and resisting arrest and is held under standard bond.
David Fairley, 61, of Hillsboro, was arrested for failure to pay city income tax.
Samuel Holaday, 21, of Peebles, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.
