James and Sarah (Pummell) Best were married on Sept. 3, 1955 in the Presbyterian Church, Greenfield.

Jim, originally from Columbus Grove, is a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a retiree of the VA Hospital in Chillicothe.

Sarah, who was born and raised on Rapid Forge Road, Bainbridge, is a homemaker and retired home health caregiver.

They are the parents of a daughter, Harlena Best of Greenfield; and grandparents of Jake Crouse of Wilmington.
