VFW donates to Special Olympics

Hillsboro VFW Post 9094 made a $500 donation Thursday to the Highland County Special Olympics Fundraising Committee. The committee will hold a bowling fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Highland Lanes in Hillsboro. There will be a drawing, silent auction and raffle to raise money for Special Olympics events in Highland County. Wilkin said anyone wanting to buy a brick to placed at the Highland County Veterans Memorial in Hillsboro in time for the annual Memorial Day celebration needs to place their order by the end of March. The bricks are $50 and order forms are available at VFW Post 9094, Rick’s Body Shop in Allensburg and at the Highland County Administration Building in the county commissioners office.
