Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has reported the following information:

INCIDENT

On March 12, at 11:06 p.m. the department responded to a complaint of a bar fight at the Ole Depot. Upon arrival it was learned that a Billy Tipton, 42, of Washington C.H., was being disorderly. Tipton became disorderly inside the bar by breaking a beer bottle on the bar. The management removed him, but not before a fight happened. Officers reported that on arrival Tipton was loud and making threats toward the management of the Depot. After repeated warning to calm down by law enforcement, Tipton was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. It was then found that Tipton had an active warrant from Fayette County.

ACCIDENT

On March 13, 2016 at 3:18 a.m. the police department responded to an accident in the 400 block of North High Street, An investigation showed that Daniel Alspach II, 49, of West Union, was southbound on North High Street driving a 2004 Honda when he struck the rear of an unoccupied 2010 Saturn that was parked in a parking space along the roadway. Through the impact the 2010 Saturn moved and was pushed into a 2003 Pontiac that was also unoccupied and parked. Heavy disabling damage was reported on the 2004 Honda and the 2010 Saturn. No injuries were reported. Daniel Alspach II was cited for OMVI, failure to maintain control and obstructing official business.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

On March 13, Nickole Ormiston, 27, of Bainbridge, was arrested for a bench warrant and issued a citation for failure to maintain control.

ACCIDENTS

On Wednesday, March 9 the police department received a call of a crash in the 100 block of South High Street. Larry Snoody, 79, of Hillsboro, was attempting to back from a parking space in the 100 block of South High Street and failed to see a 2001 Cadillac, operated by Jody Watson, 59, of Midland, who was stopped in southbound traffic. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

ARREST/CITATION

On March 8, Trevor W Gibson, 21, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of drugs.

On March 10, 2016 the police department received a call from Tony Miller, of Hillsboro, who reported that his rental unit located in the 200 block of North West Street had been burglarized. Damage to the rear of the residence was reported.

On Friday, March 11,, Mike Williams of Roger Williams Auto sales reported that a Chevrolet truck had been stolen overnight from the lot.
