Locals respond to Winchester fire

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera said that at 9:46 a.m. Saturday the Southern Highland Volunteer Fire Department, Marshall Fire Department, Winchester Fire Department, Mowrystown Police Department and Highland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a church camp on SR 136 near Winchester where three cabins were on fire. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, according to Barrera.
