The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Aug. 11

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Tommy Lawwill, 24, of Hillsboro, was arrested for criminal trespassing, failure to appear bench warrant, and obstructing official business.

Julie Mercer, 52, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct and menacing.

Billy Stone Jr., 24, of Sabina, was cited for driving under suspension, reckless pperation and fictitious plates.

Aug. 12

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Don Drennen, 36, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, fictitious plates, and failure to reinstate.

Brian Lee Swisshelm, 37, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Aug. 13

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Cody Queen, 19, of Seaman, was cited for expired plates.

James Lykins, 34, of Peebles, was cited for driving under suspension.

Sarah Sharp, 32, of Hillsboro, was arrested for open container and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Mark Smith, 53, of Wilmington, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

ACCIDENTS

The police department investigated an accident in the 700 block of North High Street. Richard Moore, 59, of Hillsboro, was stopped in northbound traffic in the 700 block of North High Street when his vehicle was struck from behind. Joanna Hochstuhl, 19, of Leesburg, was also traveling northbound and failed to see that traffic had stopped, causing her vehicle to collide with Moore’s. Richard Moore was transported to Highland District Hospital by the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District. Hochstuhl was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

The police department responded to an accident call in the parking lot at Walmart, located at 540 Harry Sauner Road. Phyllis Flint, 83, of New Vienna, was attempting to back her vehicle from a parking space and failed to see a vehicle operated by Dyana Mt. Castle, 50, of Greenfield, and backed into her vehicle causing minor damage to both. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Aug. 14

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Cassandra Lewis, 33, of Hillsboro, was arrested for OVI, failure to obey a traffic control device, and failure to drive in marked lanes.
