SPARK! Creative Artspace held a Cupcakes and Canvas event for children last weekend and the youngsters who participated are shown above displaying their Monsters works of art. Elaine Head Williams was the event hostess who brought the idea of doing this type of event to the SPARK! think-tank. Pat Hayes donated the use of his building, and Doug Karnes donated his DJ services for the event. SPARK! team members, who are all volunteers, Eric and Melanie Salyers, Cindi Pearce, Tom Schleup, Sean O'Hearn, Janet Chapman, and Laura Lyle circulated through the children offering paint refills, clean brushes, juice boxes, cupcakes and encouraging the children in their creative choices.
