Hillsboro’s KFC is sponsoring a Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest on Saturday, July 5 on the sidewalks in front of the courthouse as part of this year’s Festival of the Bells.

Adult entries, for ages13 and older, are $10, and children, ages 12 and under, are $5. Donations are also welcome.

The first place winner in the adult category will receive $100 and second place will receive $50. The first place in the children’s category will take home a KFC® goodie bucket filled with various fun prizes and money-saving coupons.

Spokespersons Avery Applegate and Maddie Cupp said, “This is such a fun contest that we have to limit entries to a first come first serve basis, so contestants are encouraged to arrive early.”

The contest will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will conclude at noon. Each contestant will be able to use a four-foot square of sidewalk and a box of chalk to create their own unique masterpiece.

All proceeds will benefit the Highland County Humane Society.

Contact Maddie Cupp with any questions by calling 513-400-3646.
