The Leesburg Babe Ruth team was back in action on Monday evening as they took on Merchants Bank. Pitcher Hunter Dixon was back at it as he pitched his second no-hitter in as many appearances this season and the Leesburg team went on to win the game 9-0. This takes their record to a still-perfect 3-0 to start the summer schedule.
Randy Lamme and Hunter Dixon led the team at the plate with two hits apiece.
A five run second inning combined with the pitching of Dixon, made this a no-doubt win for Leesburg, as they added single runs in the third, fifth, and two in the sixth inning.
Leesburg’s next game will be this Thursday when the take on McDonalds. The game is set to start at 8 p.m.
