Once again, the Highland County Humane Society is offering the opportunity for the kids, and the family pet, to have their pictures taken with Santa.

Before, during and after the 2013 Holiday Parade in Hillsboro on Saturday, Amber Pulse, of Impulse Photography, will be snapping photos of kids and pets with Santa. Pulse will be donating her time to the Highland County Humane Society, and will be available to take pictures from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Gov. Trimble Place.

HCHS member Amy Schneider said that while last year they were in the side bay area of the Paint Creek fire station 3, she didn’t know if they would be exactly there this year. However, she said, they would be in the vicinity along Gov. Trimble Place.

The pictures will be for a $5 donation to the organization.

During that time, Schneider said they will also have raffles for a Christmas tree and a Christmas wreath, a coloring contest, a bake sale, Highland County Humane Society t-shirts for sale, and treats for the kids.

All proceeds benefit the Highland County Humane Society.

Those who are unable to make it to Saturday’s picture taking will have another chance on Dec. 14 when pictures can be taken at TSC on North High Street from 2-5 p.m.

The Highland County Humane Society operates a no-kill shelter for abused, homeless and unwanted animals and is a 501 c3 non-profit organization. It is located at 9331 SR 124 in Hillsboro and can be reached by calling 937-393-2110.
