Christian Men’s Chorus visiting Hillsboro church

0

The Unified Christian Men’s Chorus will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, located at 155 W. Walnut St., Hillsboro.

The chorus is in its fifth year and consists of 35 men from Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties. Current and past residents of this group who are from Highland County are: Jim Faust, Jim Gibson, David Higgins, Terry Hoggatt, Jim Luck, John Naylor, Tim Penn, Bob Pittser, Meda Pittser, Troy Roush, Bruce Stauffer and Richard Taylor.

The primary focus of this chorus is gospel music. The men sing timeless classics, uplifting and inspiring gospel songs, and rousing versions of the nation’s rally cries and heart warmers. The four-part harmony and the sweet melodies will offer those in attendance an opportunity to sing along.

In addition to the men’s group, Patrick Roush, a local country singer/songwriter from Lynchburg, will be featured. Now 22, Roush will graduate this year from Morehead State University. Recently, he released his debut, all original album titled “Stronger,” which has sold hundreds of copies in stores and online.

The July 30 concert is open to the public, and there is no admission fee.
