Bible Believers broadcasts

The Bible Believers Baptist Church, 7011 Ervin Road, Hillsboro, has sermons broadcast each Sunday from 7:30 to 8 a.m. on WKFI 1090 AM, from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on WRAC 103.1 FM, and from 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. on WAOL 99.5 FM. This Sunday’s sermon “How The Devil Weakens Nations’ includes the controversial ruling of the Supreme Court. The sermons can also be heard online at www.wilkinsradio.com. The church has Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Call minister Steve Cowgill at 740-285-8784

Funds for blankets

Highland County Church Women United is collecting funds to purchase heavyweight blankets to be distributed to economically disadvantaged families in Ohio. These blankets offer warmth and relief during dangerously cold weather. Those who would like to contribute to this project can contact Valeta Doorneweerd at (937) 393-5099. The purpose of Church Women United is to encourage church women to come together in a visible community to witness their faith in Jesus Christ and, enabled by the Holy Spirit, to go out into every neighborhood and nation as instruments of reconciling love.

Craft and bake sale

The Greenfield Church of Christ in Christian union will hold a craft and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 3 at Southern Hills Community Bank in Greenfield.

Rummage/bake sale

The Fall Creek ladies of the USFW will have a rummage/bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. The church is located at 11345 Karnes Rd., Hillsboro.

New Hope Baptist Church Vacation Bible School

The New Hope Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School on July 8, 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. “Bible Blast to the Past Discovering God’s Everlasting Love” will be for ages 3 years to teens. It will be held at the church, 128 E. Beech St., Hillsboro. For more information, call 937-393-5215.

Hillsboro House of Worship Vacation Bible School

The Hillsboro House of Worship will have Vacation Bible School on Thursday and Friday, July 9-10, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch at noon. Saturday will consist of VBS and a family fun day with food, games, lessons and crafts. The children and their families are encouraged to come and have a fun filled day to wrap up the Vacation Bible School. The Hillsboro House of Worship is located at 8395 U.S. Route 62 north. Ice cream supper

The annual Mowrystown Presbyterian Church ice cream supper will be Saturday, July 11, beginning at 5 p.m. at the church. The menu includes sandwiches, chicken and noodles, salads, homemade pies and cakes, and the famous homemade ice cream.

SonSpark Labs

The Marshall United Methodist Church invites children of all ages to join it at SonSpark Labs, July 13-17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. SonSpark Labs creates a fun and engaging discovery lab where children will enjoy fun songs, skits, Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks. Hope Mountain Ministries prayer

Hope Mountain Ministries is asking the public to join it in prayer at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 for the release of the bondage of addiction in Brown County and surrounding areas. Hope Mountain and anyone wanting to join it can meet at the same time and date at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Georgetown. Those in other areas are asked to prayer from where they are.
