Funds for blankets

Highland County Church Women United is collecting funds to purchase heavyweight blankets to be distributed to economically disadvantaged families in Ohio. These blankets offer warmth and relief during dangerously cold weather. Those who would like to contribute to this project can contact Valeta Doorneweerd at (937) 393-5099. The purpose of Church Women United is to encourage church women to come together in a visible community to witness their faith in Jesus Christ and, enabled by the Holy Spirit, to go out into every neighborhood and nation as instruments of reconciling love.

New Hope Baptist Church Vacation Bible School

The New Hope Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School on July 8, 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. “Bible Blast to the Past Discovering God’s Everlasting Love” will be for ages 3 years to teens. Hillsboro House of Worship Vacation Bible School

The Hillsboro House of Worship will have Vacation Bible School on Thursday and Friday, July 9-10, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch at noon. Saturday will consist of VBS and a family fun day with food, games, lessons and crafts. Ice cream supper

The annual Mowrystown Presbyterian Church ice cream supper will be Saturday, July 11, beginning at 5 p.m. at the church. The menu includes sandwiches, chicken and noodles, salads, homemade pies and cakes, and the famous homemade ice cream.

Hope Mountain Ministries prayer

Hope Mountain Ministries is asking the public to join it in prayer at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 for the release of the bondage of addiction in Brown County and surrounding areas.
