Body of missing man found

The body of a missing Concord Township man was recently found by the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, according to a press release.Kenneth A. Shafer, of the Sugar Tree Ridge community, had been missing since April 4. The Times-Gazette previously reported that circumstances surrounding events that happened on that date led to an investigation in his disappearance.Shafer’s body was found on April 15 in a “remote wooded area in Concord Township,” the press release states. His body was “transported to the Montgomery County Coroners Office for an autopsy.”The cause of death remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office, the Highland County Coroner’s Office, and the Ohio Attorney Generals Office (BCI&I).
