Hillsboro may be part of documentary

An independent television production company based in the United Kingdom is producing a “sizzle reel” for what producers hope will become a documentary on the History Channel focused on three small towns in the United States, one of which is Hillsboro.Andy Baybutt, a cinematographer with Double Act TV, is in Hillsboro this week to interview local individuals, and was in attendance at Monday night’s meeting of Hillsboro City Council.Besides Hillsboro, the other towns being featured are D’Lo, Miss., population 456, and North Providence, R.I., a town of about 34,000 residents.

Lady Indians fall to Miami Trace 9-3

The Lady Indians softball team was able to get an early lead in the second inning Monday night on the Miami Trace Lady Panthers after Madison Snyder sent a solo home run flying over the fence. Unfortunately for the girls, it was the last lead they had, as the Lady Panthers scored four runs in both the bottom of the second and in the third to go on to a 9-3 win. Hillsboro baseball drops second league game to Miami Trace

After losing their South Central Ohio League opener to Washington, the Hillsboro baseball team took on Miami Trace on Monday night for another league game. The Panthers of Miami Trace came into the night perfect on the year, and after a 15-2 run-rule of the Indians, improved to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the SCOL.
