Shaffer Park baseball/softball sign-up info

Signups for the baseball and softball at Richard Shaffer Park will open Sunday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at the new buildings in the boys complex. All ages are as of May 1.

Boys:

C – 9 and 10 year olds

A – 11 and 12 year olds

Pony – 13 and 14 year olds

Babe Ruth – 15, 16 and 17 year olds

Girls:

C – 9 and 10 year olds

A/B – 11, 12 and 13 year olds

AA – 14, 15, 16 and 17 year olds

Please know your T-shirt size when you register. The registration fee of $50.00 will be due when you register. Late signups will be put on a waiting list.

Registration forms are available to be printed at shafferpark.com. Mark Boys or Girls League. Pre-register by mailing to Shaffer Park Baseball/Softball at P.O. Box 158, Hillsboro, OH 45133.

Uniform shirts will not be ordered until fee is paid.

LCHS seeking JV softball coach

HDH Foundation golf outing in June

The Highland District Hospital Foundation will host its annual golf outing Friday, June 16 at the Buckeye Hills Country Club, 7261 Limes Rd. Greenfield, OH 45123. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the day, with tee off beginning at 9 a.m. The outing will include raffles, split-the-pot, awards and mulligans. All proceeds will benefit the GreatER Care Campaign. OHSAA basketball, wrestling state tourney tickets available

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournaments in basketball and wrestling, held at the Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University in March. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com (search OHSAA) and at the Schottenstein Center box office.

The 80th annual OHSAA state wrestling individual tournament is March 9-11, the 42nd annual girls basketball state tournament is March 16-18 and the 95th annual boys basketball state tournament is March 23-25.
