SHAC softball teams find success in district tournament; Fairfield, Fayetteville and Eastern Brown still standing

The Southern Hills Athletic Conference softball teams have represented the conference well.

In the Southwest Division III Ripley the No. 12 seed pulled a big upset defeating Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy the No. 2 seed 7-4. They also played well in their second round game losing to Bethel Tate 3-5.

In Southwest Division IV the Fayetteville Lady Rockets (No. 7 seed) have defeated Georgetown (No. 2 seed), Middletown Christian, and Cincinnati Christian to win a Sectional Title and will play Riverside on Saturday, May 20th at 11:00 AM at Easton H.S. in the District Finals.

In Souteast Division IV , Whiteoak won their first round game and lost in the Sectional Championship to Portsmouth Clay.

Manchester also won their first round game and also lost in the Sectional Championship to Paint Valley.

In Southeast Division III, North Adams and West Union did lose their first round tournament games. Lynchburg Clay lost to Huntington in the Sectional Championship game.

Eastern Brown (No. 3 seed) defeated Gallia Academy (No. 2 seed) Wednesday night 8-4, and advances to play Wheelersburg in the District Championship game at Unioto High School at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20th.

Great job SHAC coaches and players. It shows the strength of conference in softball.
