Whiteoak, Fairfield, and Lynchburg-Clay athletes compete in the region 11 regional track meet

Members of the Fairfield, Lynchburg-Clay, and Whiteoak track and field teams traveled to Fairfield Union High School for the Region 11 regional track meet on Friday.

Ciara Colwell of Fairfield competed in the girls 1600-meter run after qualifying with a time of 5:39.79, Colwell also competed in the girls 3200-meter run after qualifying for the final with a time of 12:33.78.

Noah Richmond and Andrew Davis of Fairfield competed in the boys 1600-meter run after qualifying with times of 4:32.46 and 4:41.91 respectively. Richmond qualified for the state track meet with a time of 4:32.46.

Trent Swisher and Brandtson Duffie of Fairfield competed in the boys 800-meter run after posting qualifying times of 2:05.98 and 1:59.43 respectively. Duffie qualified for the state track meet with a time of 1:58.48.

Noah Richmond and Matthew Mangus of Fairfield competed in the boys 3200-meter run after qualifying with times of 10:22.41 and 10:04.27 respectively. Mangus qualified for the state track meet with a time of 10:03.41

Zac Carter of Lynchburg competed in the boys high jump events after posting a qualifying height of 6-00.00.

Bobby Merry of Lynchburg competed in the boys 800-meter run, Merry qualified for the event with a time of 2:07.30.

Kensley Bailey competed in the girls long jump event, she qualified for the regional track meet with a distance of 16-05.00.

Blake Adams of Fairfield qualified for the state meet in the girls shot put with a distance of 37-05.50.

The boys 4×800-meter relay team from Fairfield qualified for the state track meet with a time of 8:22.41.
