The McClain High School Lady Tigers golf team got their season underway on August 7 when they traveled to Vinton County. The Lady Tigers played the next day as they hosted the Adam Sharp Invitational at Buckeye Hills Country Club. McClain will close their season on the road against former South Central Ohio League rival Clinton Massie.

The Lady Tigers bring back a strong group of girls despite losing two all-league performers from the 2016 squad. The Lady Tigers are coached by third year head coach Jarrod Haines. The team will be led by junior Bryn Karnes and senior Kendall Pollard.

“Bryn and Kendall will be our one and two golfers this year. We have good leadership from the upperclassmen and they all get along.”, said Haines. “Like always, we want to have fun first and foremost. Have a chance to win our league get out of the sectional tournament and move on to the district tournament. Those are our goals for this season.”
