Hillsboro and McClain girls golf teams post wins on Wednesday

The Hillsboro Lady Indians traveled to The Greens in Washington Courthouse on Wednesday to take on the Miami Trace Lady Panthers in Frontier Athletic Conference (FAC) golf action.

Hillsboro came away with the victory 209 – 270 to keep their unblemished conference record intact.

The Lady Indians were led by Kristin Jamieson who carded a par for the course 36 and claim match medalist for Hillsboro. Emily Loudin shot a 50, Larkyn Parry had a 61, and Mallory Parsons finished off her day with a 62 to round out the scoring for Hillsboro.

Hillsboro was also represented by Madi Stratton who shot a 63 on the day and Abby Myers who had a 65.

The McClain Lady Tigers were also in action on Wednesday when they traveled to Jackson to take on the Lady Ironmen in FAC golf action.

McClain made sure that they didn’t make the trip in vain coming home with a 210 – 246 victory.

The Lady Tigers were led by Bryn Karnes who shot a 49 to be named match medalist. Erika Martin carded a 52, Elissa Grate had a 53, and Kendall Pollard rounded out the scoring with a 56.

McClain was also represented by Cassidy Willis who shot a 59 and Bri Weller who had a 62 on the day.

Both teams will be in action again on Monday August 28 when the Lady Indians host cross county and league rival the McClain Lady Tigers and the lady golfers from Wilmington.
