Hillsboro Lady Indians host Lady Tigers and Hurricanes at Elks

The Hillsboro Lady Indians golf team hosted the McClain Lady Tigers and the Wilmington Lady Hurricanes on Monday in a tri match at the Elks Golf Club in Hillsboro. The Lady Indians were the overall winners with a 203, the Lady Tigers were second with a 216, and the Lady Hurricanes were third with an overall 244.

The Lady Indians were led by match medalist Kristin Jamieson who carded a one under par 37. Jamieson had one bogey and two birdies on the day including a birdie on the par five ninth hole. Emily Loudin shot a 48, Larkyn Parry had a 57, and Mallory Parsons finished with a 61 for Hillsboro.

The home team was also represented by Madi Stratton who had a 65 and Abby Myers who shot a 65.

The Lady Tigers had an excellent outing as the top four scorers for the team shot under 60. McClain was led by Bryn Karnes who shot a 51, Kendall Pollard scored a 53, Elissa Grate and Erica Martin rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers as both shot a 56.

McClain was also represented by Bri Weller with a 64, and Cassidy Willis who shot a 70.

The Wilmington High School Lady Hurricanes acquitted themselves well as Heather Fryman shot a team low 55, Meredith Robinson finished with a 60, Madilyn Steinmetz had a 63, and Carrie Robinson rounded out the scoring for the Lady Hurricanes with a 66.

Wilminton was also represented by Brooke Taylor who shot a 67, and Adrian Besser with a 75.

The Lady Indians are scheduled to travel to Jackson on Wednesday to take on the Lady Ironmen. The Lady Tigers will be in action again on Wednesday when they host the Miami Trace Lady Panthers at Buckeye Hills Country Club.
