The McClain Lady Tigers volleyball team traveled to Hillsboro High School Tuesday night to take on the Lady Indians for the second time this season. Their first meeting, was an unofficial meet up in the Spike-and-Dig tournament before the season. In that, the Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Indians to take the trophy back from Hillsboro.

This time, the game was an official South Central Ohio League game and the end result was the same as the McClain team bested the Lady Indians in a best-of-five match up with a final of three sets to one.

McClain won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-15. In the first set, Hillsboro came from behind at the end to give McClain a scare, but they held them off and won the set.

The Lady Indians took the third set with a score of 25-17 to force a game four but McClain came roaring back and won the set with ease with a final of 25-12.

“We played well tonight,” said Lady Tigers’ Head Coach Emma Gall after the match. “We have a girl missing tonight, so we were playing some girls in some different spots. They’re fulfilling those rolls and doing what I ask them to do. I changed up the rotation in that third set and I think that’s what threw them off. They’re creatures of habit. But overall I think we played really well tonight.”
