It’s that time of year again. School is back in session, fall sports are kicking off, and the first football games are right around the corner. With Hillsboro High School’s season opener at home against Western Brown just one week away, it’s also time for the annual Fish Fry put on by the Hillsboro High School Athletic Boosters.

The Fish Fry is this Friday, August 21 with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. At 5:15, Hillsboro will announce the players for the football team and then the Indians will start their warm ups in preparation to scrimmage Paint Valley. During this time, the all the remaining fall sports teams will ne introduced to the crowd and the scrimmage will start at approximately 6:30.

The two teams will play two quarters with a running clock and after that half is up, the Jayvee will take the field.

“According to the weatherman, it’s supposed to be a really nice day,” said Hillsboro Athletic Director Dave Dietrick. “Not too hot, not too cold, which is perfect weather for a fish fry and some football. We encourage everyone to come out early and bring their family to get some fish and watch the Indians take on Paint Valley.”

There will be no admission cost for the scrimmage.

The Junior High fottball team will be travelling to Paint Valley on Wednesday, August 26 for their scrimmage.
