Former HHS student qualifies for Mid-Amateur

Amanda Dixon of Hillsboro, OH, recently qualified for the 2015 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur in an 18-hole qualifying round conducted at Hillview Country Club in Franklin, IN. Dixon, a graduate of Hillsboro High School (2008) and Northwestern Oklahoma State University (2012), was an outstanding golfer at the high school and collegiate levels.

The U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur is one of thirteen United States Golf Association national championships. First played in 1987, it provides amateur women over the age of 25 and a handicap index of 9.4 or lower to have an opportunity to compete for the national championship. Dixon will be one of 130 competitors playing for the title at Squire Creek Country Club near Choudrant, LA., October 3-8.
