Lady Indians fall to MT 6-2

The Hillsboro Lady Indians softball team went to battle with South Central Ohio League opponent Miami Trace on Thursday night and were unable to stop the big inning and lost the game with a final of 6-2.

The Lady Panthers struck first in the game, scoring a single run in the top of the very first inning. The Lady Indians came back and took the lead in their half of the first, scoring two runs and giving the game a 2-1 score in favor of Hillsboro. But then in the fourth, Miami Trace struck for four runs to go back up 5-2. After their two runs in the bottom of the first, the Lady Indians were able to get a runner as far as third base, but were unable to get any more runs across the plate. The Lady Panthers added one more run in the top of the sixth inning to bring the game to its final score of 6-2.

Lady Indians pitching had 11 strikeouts in the game.
