Ellen Sue Parker, 69, of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at her home.

She was born Dec. 6, 1947 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Lawrence Edward and Veva Marcella Badgely Hunt.

Mrs. Parker had been a school teacher for the Batavia schools and a substitute teacher for the Greenfield schools. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, had served as the director of religious education for several years and taught the RCIA class for 20 years. She was a professed member of the Order of Franciscans – Our Lady of the Angels Fraternity in Milford.

She is survived by her husband, Deacon Leonard Parker, whom she married June 26, 1970; two children, Lawrence (Keri) Parker of Hillsboro and Beth (David) Snider of New Vienna; stepson, Patrick (Penny) Parker of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Mikayla Parker and Kenton Snider; one sister, Carol Morgan of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two nieces and one nephew.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, June 12 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Father Mike Paraniuk will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
