Humane Society Pet of the Week

This is Jasper. He is a 1- to 2-year-old mixed breed dog. He came to be at the Highland County Humane Society Shelter when someone reported a case of cruelty and a Humane officer went out the call. The shelter staff has nursed him back to good health and he has made an amazing recovery. He is a very sweet and loving dog who just wants a family of his own to love him and give him a better life than he has had so far. He is being neutered this week. Mark your calendars for May 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when the the Mardi Growl Parade of Love will be held at Liberty Park, behind the YMCA. For more information on any of the shelter’s pets, visit the Highland County Humane Society, 9331 SR 124, Hillsboro, or call 937-393-2110. The shelter is open six days per week from noon to 5 p.m. and is closed on Wednesdays.
