Indians demolish MHS 10-1

The Hillsboro baseball team ended their home schedule on a high note with a big win over South Central Ohio League rival McClain on Friday night. The Indians tallied 16 total hits and held their opponent to just one run in the 10-1 victory.

Jesse Walker threw the complete game shutout against the Tigers of McClain allowing just five hits over seven innings. The single run allowed was not earned and he collected seven strikeouts while walking none. Walker also went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored from first on a double by Jacob Helterbrand in the late innings.

Leading the Indians at the plate was Ryan Hagan, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. D.J. Brown also went 3-for-4 at the plate with three singles. Wyatt Condo and Hunter Chain added two hits each to the total and Mason Stanley, Jonah Humphries, Austin Harrison, and Jacob Helterbrand all had one hit. Chain and Helterbrand had two RBIs and Humphries added one RBI.

Randall Mischal led the Tigers at the plate with two hits in the game.

The Indians will travel to Western Brown on Saturday, May 7 for a double header starting at 11 a.m.
