ODOT closing Jury, Coon roads briefly

0

Maintenance crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 will undertake a pair of culvert replacement projects next week, requiring back-to-back single-day closures of two township roads.

On Monday, May 9, crews from the Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility will close Jury Road at its intersection with SR 28, approximately two miles west of Greenfield, to replace a deteriorated culvert that is situated under Jury Road. Then, on Tuesday, May 10, crews will close Coon Road at its junction with SR 28 to replace a culvert at the intersection.

The single-day closures will be in effect from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Pending any weather-related impacts, all work should be completed by the end of the business day Tuesday. On either day, motorists will be detoured via Centerfield Road.

Although SR 28 will remain open during the projects, traffic may be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers intermittently throughout both days. In addition, neither Miami Trace Road to the north of Jury Road or Collier Road, north of Coon Road, should be affected by these closures.

Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution in the work zone. For additional information on lane and road closures caused by construction, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events throughout the state, visit on ODOT on the web at www.Ohgo.com.
