The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Sept. 23

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Joshua R. Roland, 33, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Joshua A. Moore, 23, of New Boston, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant and for possession of drugs.

David Simmons, 51, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Michael S. Lawson, 34, of Hillsboro, was arrested on three counts of trafficking in drugs.

Jeremy D. Jones, 37, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of drugs.

Lola S. Wright, 39, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of heroin.

ACCIDENT

At 6:31p.m., the police department responded to North High Street near Northview Drive for a report of a two-car crash. Matthew Fisher of New Vienna was traveling northbound on North High Street approaching the intersection at Northview Drive when Dianna Curtis of Hillsboro pulled out of a private parking lot, striking the truck and trailer being driven by Fisher. Curtis was cited for failure to yield when entering the roadway from private property. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 24

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Kristen Kissamore, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance.

Melinda Luschek, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance.

James W. Hoover Jr., of Columbus, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

ACCIDENT

At 1:57 p.m., the police department responded to the area of Chillicothe Pike and Main Street for a report of a one-car crash. An unknown black SUV was sitting at the stop sign on East Main Street at the SR 124 and U.S. Route 50 split and pulled out in front of the vehicle being driven by Ronald Kidder, of Hillsboro. Kidder swerved right to avoid hitting the SUV and hit the support cable and a utility pole. No one was able to identify the black SUV. Minor injuries were reported.
