In the kitchen with Sharon

Hello! In the kitchen with Sharon this week The Times-Gazette had a carry in to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. My friends asked me to fix the green jello stuff. LOL.

What they meant was Watergate salad. It is so easy to fix and it is so good. Needless to say they licked the bowl clean. If you need a dish to take to a dinner this is the perfect idea and so easy to make. In five minutes you are ready to go. And, of course, you only need five items. Let me know what you think? We really love it.

Please send your recipes to [email protected] or call me at 937-393-3456. I cant wait to hear from you.

Watergate Salad

There is nothing better than Watergate Salad. This simple dump-and-go salad is a classic that makes its way into every celebration because it’s both incredibly delicious and incredibly easy. Whip it together in less than five minutes and you’re good to go.

Ingredients

3.4-ounce pistachio Jell-O instant pudding mix

20-ounce can crushed pineapple

1 cup miniature marshmallows

1/2 cup chopped nuts — your favorite

8-ounce container Cool Whip. I used lite, thawed

Instructions

1. Combine pudding mix, pineapple (with juice), marshmallows and nuts in a large bowl and mix well.

2. Blend in Cool Whip and chill until ready to serve.
