Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

May 20

OFFENSE/INCIDENT

At 9:42 a.m., the police department responded to the parking lot at the Hillsboro High School football field on West Main Street. Dispatch had received a call of two people that appeared to be passed out in a vehicle. After further investigation, illegal narcotics were located at the scene. There was no medical emergency. Charges are pending.

ACCIDENTS

At 11:34 p.m., Tucker Smalley, 63, of Peebles, was northbound on North East Street, near Willow Street. Edward Adams, 65, of Hillsboro, was eastbound in an alley off approaching North East Street. Adams attempted to stop bhis vehicle, but due to the pavement being wet, he was unable to get stopped. Adams’ vehicle stuck Smalley’s vehicle on the rear driver’s side. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received minor damage.

At 8:15 p.m., Kimberly Jeffries, 51, of Hillsboro, was traveling east on West North Street and stopped for a traffic signal at North High Street. Shannon Smith, 34, of New Vienna, was traveling south on North High Street and stated her traffic signal had turned yellow. Smith stated when she entered the intersection, the traffic signal was red. Jeffries had already begun her approach onto North High Street. Smith’s vehicle struck Jeffries’ vehicle on the left side. Both vehicles received moderate damage. No injuries were reported. Smith was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

CITATIONS

Rhiannon Ritze, 33, of New Vienna, was cited for driving under suspension.

Shanann Rohde, 49, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension.

James Braley, 31, of Leesburg, was cited for driving under suspension.
