Greenfield native and worldwide performer Dusty Barrett will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 19 at the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, 285 Pearl St.

Barrett has devoted his life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. For 21 years he has traveled around the country, and even internationally, to spread the good news.

In 2007, Barrett decided to move back to his hometown in Greenfield. The gospel group Soul’d Out Quartet, which is based in Ohio, needed a tenor and at the same time the church where Barrett grew up was looking for a youth minister. So. Barrett moved his family back to Greenfield and began his tenure with Soul’d Out and serving as youth minister and associate minister for the Greenfield Church of Christ.

In 2017, Barrett began to fell the call for a new season in his life. Through much prayer and counsel, in 2021 Barrett decided to step out in faith and start a solo ministry. He is so excited about being able to share his heart and testimony with people all over the country. He feels God has prepared him for this season of ministry and is excited to share a wide variety of music. Barrett hopes to provide Christian entertainment that appeals to all ages while sharing the gospel to the lost and encouraging Christians to keep the faith.

Barrett still lives in Greenfield with his wife of 16 years, Alisa. They have three children, Stacey, Kate and Camden.
