At the end of February the McClain FFA joined thousands of FFA members across the country in celebrating National FFA week. On Sunday, McClain FFA took 40 members to an annual church service trip, then to Skyzone Jump Park. On Monday, they had the opportunity to go to Perfect North in Indiana to spend a day snow tubing. On Tuesday, the FFA officers put on an eighth grade recruitment day to show the upcoming freshman what FFA is about. They were shown a video about the opportunities FFA officers have and played games that demonstrated teamwork and problem solving. On Wednesday, the monthly meeting was held and members made dog toys to donate to the Humane Society. President Hannah Crago and Vice President Abby Mustard visited the Highland County commissioners for an FFA Week proclamation. Thursday, the middle school FFA executive team made a breakfast for the middle school teachers. Greenfield City Manager Todd Wilkin came in to talk to the McClain FFA officers about current city projects. The officers took middle school FFA members to a roller skating party in Washington C.H. on Thursday evening. And to conclude McClain FFA hosted an Agriscience Night where middle schoolers were presented with their Discovery degrees and first-year high school ag members were presented with their Greenhand degrees. The Greenhand’s Agriscience Fair Projects were on display and were judged afterward. McClain FFA graduate and state officer Aly Murphy also presented at the ceremony.
