It was Senior Night for the Washington Blue Lion and Miami Trace boys golf teams as they competed at home against Leesburg Fairfield on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Prior to the match, the Blue Lions honored their four seniors: Will Miller, Shane Crago, Logan Clevenger and Logan Krape, and Miami Trace honored their two seniors: Joseph Thompson and Gavin Baughn.
Washington would earn a victory with a team score of 179, followed by Fairfield with a 181 and Miami Trace with a 186.
Individually for Washington, Will Miller led and was the match medalist with a 40, followed by Shane Crago and Logan Krape each with a 46, Nathan Snyder with a 47, Logan Clevenger with a 48 and Bryson Heath with a 58.
Individually for Fairfield, Brody Fauber and Van Bennington each led with a 44, followed by Otis Cockerill with a 45, Caleb Barrera with a 48, Titan Crowder with a 53 and Blaine Fauber with a 60.
Individually for Miami Trace, Carter Davidson led with a 42, followed by Gage Bowers with a 44, Gavin Cottrill with a 48, Gavin Baughn with a 52 and Cade Whitaker and Joseph Thompson each with a 54.
Washington will compete again on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the Frontier Athletic Conference Championship, held at Buckeye Hills Country Club.
