The Hillsboro High School Class of 1984 held its 40th reunion at the Hillsboro Orpheum on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024. Honored guests included retired English teacher Joan Winner, Art Teacher Mary Gardener, Math Teacher Diana Harvey, Psychology Teacher Bill Alexander and his wife, Carleen, Industrial Arts teacher Mr. Bihl and his wife, English Teacher Leona Bihl, and Government studies teacher, Tom Barton.
We sent the remains of our feast to the hardworking firefighters now working at what used to be Washington Elementary, where all of us attended fourth and fifth grades before it was demolished. Our class gift has yet to be determined. A smaller group of us took a tour of the “new” high school earlier in the day. Sadly, the high school did not post a photo of our class valedictorian, Dr. Chris Colliver on its wall. I hope that gets addressed soon.
