Quaker lobby leader to speak at WC

Diane Randall will present a lecture titled “The Seeking Life: On Being a Quaker,” on Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., as a highlight of her time at Wilmington College as its 2024 Quaker-in-Residence. Her presentation in the McCoy Room of Kelly Center will follow a reception and book signing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Making a difference in our community. That is the mission at Sinking Spring Community Church, and for students at Peebles Elementary School and Oliver School that is exactly what they have been doing since 2013 by providing nearly 100 weekend food bags for students at the two schools each week of the school year.

WC art galley to host Deaton exhibit

Wilmington College’s Harcum Art Gallery will feature an exhibit of Susan Deaton’s works Jan. 24 through March 8. An opening reception honoring the artists is planned for Jan. 24 from 6-8 p.m.

Wilmington College Dean’s List

Academically outstanding students have been named to the dean’s list at Wilmington College for the fall 2023 semester. To be considered for this honor, students must be enrolled full-time, take at least 12 graded credit hours and have completed the term with a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
