Marching Mustangs return to state
The Lynchburg-Clay Marching Mustangs marched their show “The Greatest Show on Earth” for the final time last Sunday at the 2023 State OMEA Marching Band Finals in Piqua. The Marching Mustangs received an overall “II” rating, which is the second best score a marching band can receive.
Whiteoak’s Veidt in OSHAA Hall of Fame
The Highland County Board of Commissioners formally congratulated Whiteoak Head Baseball Coach Chris Veidt with a proclamation following his induction into the Ohio High School Atheltic Association Hall of Fame, making him the first Highland County baseball coach to be honored with that distinction. Hillsboro youth conclude successful season
After leading 6-0 at halftime, the Hillsboro Youth Football Club’s season came to an end with a 26-14 loss to Jackson in the postseason playoffs. The team’s coaches said injuries took a toll in the season-ending loss. Hillsboro’s only two losses during the regular season this year were to Jackson.
