Members of the 2022-23 Lynchburg-Clay Marching Mustangs are pictured. They recently earned the highest possible rating at the 2022 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Marching Band Finals held at Alexander Stadium in Piqua. This marked back-to-back state finals in consecutive school years for the Marching Mustangs, with the OMEA giving them a Superior (I) rating for this year’s performance, “Under the Moonlight.”

As we all know, the Bengals season sadly ended two weeks ago, and like many of you I still haven’t gotten over this one either. While the Super Bowl is on this weekend, this is probably the first time in my life that I truly don’t feel like even watching. I know that I will tune in come Sunday night, but I am definitely still bitter from a poor Bengals performance in the AFC Championship game as Cincinnati, in my eyes, was truly the best team in football this year.

Miami Trace buries Hillsboro

The Miami Trace Panthers welcomed Frontier Athletic Conference rival Hillsboro on a mild, rainy Tuesday night in Fayette County. Hillsboro took an early 5-4 lead, but was outscored 46-24 the rest of the way as the Panthers rolled to a 50-29 victory.
