Etienne signs with Otterbein

Lynchburg-Clay High School’s Macy Etienne will be playing basketball for the Otterbein Lady Cardinals next season. Etienne is a two-time All-Southern Hills Athletic Conference player (2022, 2024), was named honorable mention All-District 14 (2022) and third team (2024). She earned spots on the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association third team in 2022 and 2024 and was named honorable mention All-Ohio in 2022. She ended her career with ,1144 career points. Fairfield just short in regional semis

ATHENS — Larkin Friend and Trey House combined for 31 points, but it was not quite enough as the Fairfield Lions came up just short, 48-45, against South Webster in a Division IV regional semifinal game Tuesday at Ohio University’s Convocation Center in Athens.

Roundball Reunion draws large crowd to WC’s Kelly Center

More than 200 players, coaches, cheerleaders, managers and fans of the old county basketball tournaments attended the Roundball Reunion held Wednesday, March 13 at the Kelly Center on the Wilmington College campus. A total of 19 schools from Highland and Clinton counties were represented at the event, organized by Lynchburg High School graduate and Wilmington resident Bob Pittser.

COLUMBUS — McClain High School senior Ethan Hill made his second career appearance at the State wrestling tournament Friday, March 8 at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University.

Two Lady Tigers 6th at regional

Two McClain girls wrestlers finished sixth last weekend at the regional tournament at Harrison High School, both falling one win short of earning a trip to the state tournament.

McClain senior Ethan Hill is headed to this week’s OHSAA Division II State Wrestling Tournament after grappling his way to a second place finish last weekend at the district tournament held at Gallia Academy High School.
