IndyCar to use sustainable tires made from desert shrub
In IndyCar’s effort toward environmental sustainability, one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers will rely on a desert shrub to produce a new source of natural rubber for its tires.

Back-to-back tournament champions
The sixth-grade Lady ‘Cats won their second consecutive McDonald’s Classic Tournament title last weekend in Greenfield. The annual tournament is hosted by Greenfield Tiger Youth Basketball Organization (TYBO) and included nine sixth-grade girls teams. The Lady ‘Cats went 4-0 in tournament play and defeated Washington C.H., Miami Trace and Hillsboro (two times) to earn the championship title. The team is coached by Derrik Haithcock and assisted by Aleesha Shriver. Wildcats capture McDonald’s Classic title
The Whiteoak Wildcats sixth-grade boys basketball team won the McDonald’s Classic Tournament in Greenfield over the weekend for the third year. The annual tournament is hosted by the Greenfield Tiger Youth Basketball Organization and included 10 6th sixth boys teams. The Wildcats went 5-0 in the tournament defeating Chillicothe, North Adams, Washington C.H. and Miami Trace and faced North Adams again in the final game to earn the tournament championship title. The team is coached by Blake Kibler and assisted by Todd Richmond. Hillsboro sixth-graders 10-0 league champs
The sixth grade Hillsboro Lady Indians recently finished their season 10-0 and Tri-County League champions. They are heading into the TYBO McDonald’s Tournament held in Greenfield with other tournaments to follow. Three Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs sign
Lynchburg-Clay senior Bryanna Price has signed to play basketball for the UC Clermont Lady Cougars. Bryanna is a four-year player for the Lady Mustangs. A year ago, Price led the Southern Hills Athletic Conference in rebounding and she is currently third in the conference this season. Lady Indians bow out of tournament
The girls Division II Southeast District Basketball Tournament for 2023 got underway Monday at Washington High School with the No. 16 seed Lady Lions hosting the No. 17 seed Hillsboro Lady Indians.
