HHS/HMS anti-bullying campaign

Pictured is one of two anti-bullying heart bulletin boards that both Hillsboro High School/Middle School students were able to sign and their name on. The schools’ adopted theme is Stand Up, Stand Strong, Speak Out. Students will participate in anti-bullying activities throughout the month of October. Some of these activities include the Have a Heart, Don’t be a Bully as shown in the picture, and two videos that will bring awareness of how actions impact others on a daily basis. The culminating activity will be students participating in an essay contest where they will respond to one of two essay prompts: How I will Stand Up, Stand Strong, and Speak Out Against Bullying or Why It is Important to Stand Up, Stand Strong, and Speak Out Against Bullying. Two winners (one from the middle school and one from the high school) will be chosen. Speed of Light Lazer Tag donated the prizes.
