The Highland County Poultry, Pigs & Lambs 4-H Club met at the Hamer Township House on May 7 at 2 p.m. There were 15 members present for the meeting. Some of the members were not present as they attended the Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp Open House.

Demonstrations were given by Rachel Rudy, Sydney Hamilton, Emma Hatfield, Ashlei Hatfield and Owen Ryan. The health report was given by Noah Rudy, which was about ways to stay healthy.

Diane Waits, the adviser, reminded members to get their 4-H camp registration papers turned in to Kathy Bruynis by May 30. This year’s fair theme will be “Proud of Our Past, Poised for the Future.” The adviser passed out papers and discussed the changes to this year’s Junior Fair. All members taking livestock projects must have their animals in possession by June 1. Tag-in day will be on June 3 from 8-10 a.m. at the fairgrounds.

The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served by Ashlei and Emma Hatfield and Logan Warner. The next meeting will be at 2 p.m. on May 21 at the Hamer Township House.
